Jingle Networks & 1-800-FREE411 Corporate Privacy Policy
Revised November 29, 2007
At 1-800-FREE411, we are committed to protecting your privacy. We will never share your personal information with telemarketers or spammers. To learn more, review our full Privacy Policy below. In addition, you may also want to read our Web site Terms of Use.
1. Overview and Statement of Privacy Objectives
Thank you for visiting our website and reviewing our Corporate Privacy Policy. Your privacy is important to us, and we would like to share with you how we collect, protect and use information you provide to us. This policy relates to all areas of our web sites at www.jinglenetworks.com and www.free411.com (“Web Site”) and to our 1-800-FREE411 telephone directory assistance service (“Free 411 Service”).
2. Our 1-800-FREE411 Service (“Free 411 Service”)
There are certain aspects of the telecommunications system in the U.S. which may allow for your phone number to be seen when you dial an 800 (Toll Free) number even if your Caller ID Blocking is ON. These have NOTHING to do with us or our policies, but are simply practices and policies of your local and national phone companies combined with government regulations. The following describes these aspects in more detail.
Since we operate an 800 (Toll Free) number, when you call our Free 411 Service our systems are able to see your phone number even if your number is unlisted or you have Caller ID Blocking ON. This is because of the way government regulations and telephone company policies work; it has nothing to do with how we operate our service. This is no different from any other 800 number that you call - your Caller ID, will be visible to the called party. When you choose to be connected to a called party through our Free 411 Service, even if your caller ID Blocking is ON, the called party may also be able to see your phone number because the call is being transmitted from an 800 (Toll Free) number. Again, this is not OUR doing, it’s just the way that the government policies and telephone companies handle calls to 800 numbers. When you use our Free 411 Service, we are able to see information such as the telephone number from which you are calling and the information you request, such as the party you are calling, telephone number you are requesting, and date and time of your call. But ANY TIME you call any 800 number, they are able to see the SAME INFORMATION about you. So the information we are able to see is no different than if you call any other 800 number.
The bottom line is that when you call 1-800-FREE411, we provide you with a free service rather than charge you the fee that your phone or cellular company would otherwise bill you for the same directory assistance calls.
When you place a request with our 1-800-FREE411 service, we may present an offer or advertisement to you which is based upon your directory assistance request. So for instance, if you request the number for a pizza delivery service, we may present you an offer from the same or a competitive pizza delivery service. You will then have the choice to accept the offer or to decline it and simply receive the information you requested.
If you choose to connect through to the advertiser whose offer is presented to you, they may be able to see your Caller ID information such as your phone number. But this is similar to the way they may be able to see it if you were to call them or anyone directly by using a Toll Free number. We assume no responsibility for advertisers’ offers and do not endorse any of their products or services. Offers from the advertisers may be subject to additional terms and conditions. You should carefully review such advertisers’ terms and conditions. You agree by your use of our free service that you understand the foregoing and that you agree with the terms and conditions of use which include that the 1-800-FREE411 service, Jingle Networks, Inc. which owns and operates such service, and its affiliates, officers and employees, will not be held liable in any way for any loss, damages or costs of any kind related to your use or your interaction or economic relationship with advertisers.

Like most websites, we also use third party providers to help us collect and analyze information on our Web Site and to measure the effectiveness of ads displayed on our Web Site. Such service providers may place cookies on your computer on our behalf when you access our Web Site. Again, this is standard industry practice and most websites do the same thing. None of the data that is collected is personally identifiable information about you. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to be alerted when a cookie is being sent. However, some of our features and services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled.

(iii) We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our Web site. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, e-mail address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other Web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. Tell-A-Friend. If customers elect to use our referral service for informing a friend about our Web site, service, or special promotion, we request you provide the friend’s name and e-mail address. Jingle Networks will only use this information to send that e-mail and your personal message (if you choose to write one), and will not use this information to market to the friend/recipient. Attachments are strictly forbidden and you expressly agree not to add any attachment to any e-mail message via www.free411.com.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We may share your personal information with non-affiliated parties only in the following circumstances:
- When you ask us to provide you with information about a product or service, or such product or service;
- When government regulations and/or policies and practices of phone and cellular companies require or make it necessary for us to do so;

- When you do not ask us otherwise.
We will NOT share any personal information about you with non-affiliated third parties if you choose to opt out as described in more detail below.
All personal and non-personal information we collect about you may be shared with our affiliates and subsidiaries. This is what most other companies do as well. Like many other companies, we may also share with non-affiliated third parties any non-personal information about our users, such as the number of users who searched for a particular listing, or how many users clicked on a particular advertisement. Such information does not personally identify you.
From time to time we may also monitor or record your calls to our free directory assistance service for quality assurance and other purposes. We may share such recordings with non-affiliated third parties. Such recordings do not personally identify you.
We will NOT give your number to tele-marketers, but we may call you to simply ask about your satisfaction with our service or to offer you products or services that we think may be of interest to you. We will try to keep these calls to a minimum. Please scroll down to find instructions on how to opt out if you do not wish for us to call you at all.
If you choose to register with us on our Web Site, we may send emails or short text messages to you to communicate with you, to send you information you have requested or to offer products or services that we think may be of interest to you, such as special savings and messages from local and national advertisers and our business partners. We will try to keep the number of emails we send to you at a minimum. Remember, however, that the way we are able to provide directory assistance services to you for free is by having our advertisers support our service with their messages. If you do not wish to receive e-mails or short text messages from us, you may opt out as described below. Please note, however, that certain features of our services may not be available to you if you choose to opt out. Of course, you can always continue to use our 1-800-FREE411 telephone service for free directory assistance.

8. Your Ability to Make Changes to Your Personally Identifiable Information
You can access, review and make changes to the personally identifiable information you provide when registering with us on our Web Site at any time.
9. Changes to the Corporate Privacy Policy
We may change or update this Corporate Privacy Policy from time to time and we will post any such updated Corporate Privacy Policy on this Web Site. 10. Business Transfers
In the event we, or any of our affiliates or subsidiaries are involved in a business transaction such as merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of all or a portion of assets, we may transfer your personal information to a buyer and your personal information may become subject to a different privacy policy.
11. Your California Privacy Rights
Under California law, as a California resident, you have the right to request from us the names and addresses of third parties to whom we disclosed personal information about you in the preceding calendar year and whom we know or reasonably should know to have used such information for direct marketing purposes. 12. Avoiding Unsolicited Communications and Solicitations
While we will not be making telemarketing calls to you with the exception of potentially calling you as described above to simply ask about your satisfaction with our service or to offer you products or services that we think may be of interest to you, if you wish to avoid such a call or other telemarketing calls from third parties, you may want to learn more about the DO NOT CALL Registry which is a service operated by the U.S. Government to prevent unauthorized marketers from calling you without your permission. If you wish to add your telephone number to the DO NOT CALL List you may do so by visiting http://www.donotcall.gov. You may also opt out from possibly receiving a satisfaction call or a call to offer you products or services that we think may be of interest to you by contacting us at http://www.free411.com/about/contactform and including (i) your full name and (ii) your phone number you use to call our service. If you do not wish for us to share personal information you provide with our advertisers as we describe in this privacy policy or any other non-affiliated third parties, you may choose to opt out by contacting us at http://www.free411.com/about/contactform and including (i) your full name and (ii) your phone number you use to call our service. Please note, however, that as described above, because of the government regulations and current policies and practices of your local phone and cellular companies, even if your caller ID Blocking is ON, when you call our 800 Toll Free number and choose to be connected to the called party, that called party may be able to see your phone number.
If you registered with us on our Web Site but do not wish for us to send you e-mails, short text messages to communicate with you or to offer products or services that we think may be of interest to you, you may opt out by contacting us at http://www.free411.com/about/contactform and including (i) your full name and (ii) your phone number you use to call our service if you do not want text messages to be sent to you, and (iii) your e-mail address if you do not want emails to be sent to that e-mail address.
